Description

NYR: Gets Cally w/ salary retained and a great two-way FWD in Gourde to recoup the conditional pick

STL: Didn't know their needs, but sent over a mid-6 FWD, potential top 6 winger, and a top level D prospect, plus a first for Parayko (you can add a conditional pick along with what has been offered)

Coburn is a cap dump, sent a 3rd to CGY as well to sweeten the pot for CGY for taking on sal

It would be one or the other, not both. Y would have to do too much work to get EK, AND remain competitive. I feel Parayko is a solid option if EK can't work out (which most likely not). This is how I see it going if it doesn't.

What is the Coburn situation? Is he a serviceable bottom pairing or is he basically done? I only ask because the Flames just but Brett Kulak on waivers, I find it hard to believe that he will clear so it may open up a bottom pairing spot for a veteran guy to groom Andersson.

He's very serviceable, although he did disappear in the playoffs. He was great during the season, but he's definitely bottom 6 and a good locker room guy.
