Pacioretty for 7 years at 6.5M per? He'll be playing his age 30 season next season, so the contract would be for his age 31-37 seasons-yikes. If they do trade for Pacioretty, JVR would be a comparable. JVR is a year younger, had a better season, and he got 5yrs/7M. 4-5 years tops for Pacioretty, 5-5.5M maybe, and if he wants more let him go. A team actually can have too many players locked up into their age 35+ seasons and I think the Blackhawks will have plenty of players 30+ locked up without him.
