I don't know how Yzerman convinces Johnson to waive his no-trade clause on a Cup contender with no state taxes to go to Melnyk's Senators. Also, the Lightning really don't want to lose both of Foote and Sergachev, as every defenseman would be 27+ by the playoffs, so if they want to contend for a few years, they need to have at least some young prospect who can play well at an NHL level as their defense ages and regresses. As of now, Sergachev and Foote are their only options, and they really don't want to get rid of both. Replace Sergachev with one of Volkov/Joseph/Stephens/Barre-Boutlet/Raddysh/Katchouk (although one of the last two may well end up in Ottawa), and Tampa probably accepts on that end, although Yzerman will certainly try to give less if the Rangers will let them. And then maybe take Foote out of the deal and put Sergachev in instead, I don't know if Ottawa will take Foote instead of Sergachev. I'm also not sure what else they would want, but Tyler Johnson waiving his NTC is unlikely.
