Hey they could trade Crawford but you have to get alot (1st, top 6 scoring forward, good prospect) i really like that sharp for sutter trade but i'd think the Hawks would want more than that for him.

The math just doesn't work out to give Saad his 5m/yr for 5 years that he probably wants and keep Seabrook next year while paying Crawford 6m/yr and having a starter caliber goaltender in Darling making peanuts. The forward depth takes a little hit but the D depth is great and gives the kids like Johns, Pokka, Reilly sheltered minutes while Oduya signs for 4m/yr for 2 years and gives them time to develop. That's a team that can repeat imo. Not sure they can with the D depth they'd have with Crow in net. Maybe they'd want more for Sutter, idk. Maybe a 3rd round pick or a lottery ticket prospect?

I am not the biggest fan of Corey Crawford's cap hit and term but, if nothing else, the guy is remarkably resilient, and a huge reason they went all the way again this post season!! (Granted, if not for Clementine bailing him out in the first round...).
