Trouba wants 8M. Gonna need at least 7M on a 7 year deal

I changed the signing to 8 years at $7.5M. If he wants $8M give him that extra year and hopefully he comes down to $7.5M.

Jets can't do this...there's no accounting for Bonus overages which will screw them next year in signing Laine, Connor, Wheeler.. Need to shed approx 2M more in CAP space.

Next year the cap will increase. Also next year the Jets can look at trading Perreault or Little. Why not keep everything together for this year yet? Also next year the Jets are going to be freed of $5.5M with Myers coming off the books. Money will be available to sign the big 3 next year.

right but that CAP increase will be 100% negated by the 2M in overages. WPG needs every penny. It's why they didn't risk qualifying Morrow because he could have gotten 500K more likely in arbitration. Doesn't seem like much but Chevy is smart and is mindful of not wasting a single dime in cap space!
