This would be the perfect Offseason!! Very realistic.

That being said, I personally wouldn't do that Ceci trade, but could very well see it happening.

As a sens fan, I like this. Although I would have gone for Mrazek instead of Lehner. AND I wish the Sens can keep our only league-wide superstar...

I don't see you getting that good of a return from Vegas and having them take Ryan. I have a feeling you're going to be very disappointed in the Karlsson return (no matter where he goes)

the ANA trade doesn't really make sense for them, they already have 4 solid D-men and Jacob Larson ready to come up, so adding Ceci doesn't really make sense for them

Who's news? Ottawa sports writers or national news?

If the reported deadline deal was Glass, Miller, and a first and that fell through, why do you think he is more valuable (Alex Tuch) now?

Nice try, Ottawa can't afford to have their own writers. We have the luxury to have the Leafs media reporting on us

And he's a lot more valuable now because:

1) A lot more team can trade for him;
2) After the Carlson signing and Hannafin/Hamiltons trade, he's literately the only D on the market right now.
3) Teams are desperate for PP quarterbacks and Right handed Defence
4) After July 1st, Teams can negotiation extensions with him before giving up their farm

But you are right, what do I know right?

Listen...the deal went through because Ottawa was asking for more than that

The Ducks' D looks good, but it's definitely stronger on the left than the right. The top 4 is solid on that right side (Manson and Montour), but it drops off fast to Holzer. I could see them liking Ceci for that 3rd pairing with the ability to slide up with injuries.

That said, Silf + a 2nd is probably too high of a return - bump the pick to a 5th or so and it's probably a lot closer.
