JVR for 7x7? That is what we call a hole in the money-bucket. Focus money on younger players - this is a rebuild. De Haan for $5 million also seems pretty rich, I'd pin him closer to between $3.5-$4 million a year, maybe up to $4.25...... I guess it is because apart from JT the free agent names this summer aren't that big, but I'm seeing people propose altogether too much money for JVR. Ya he is good, but probably closer to $5 million and probably not a need on this team.

I disagree simply because teams overbid on july 1st, canadian taxes rates and the market value is going up. Kane's 7Mx7 in SJ set the bar.
