Fair enough, I think that is what I would cap my offer at though, I don't think I would throw Hamilton instead of Brodie just because I think Gio will decline eventually and then if we didn't have Hamilton we would be in a desperate search for a bonafide #1 Dman. And the Krug trade would be dependent on Brodie being shipped out.

I think Brodie would be a good fit for the Blackhawks but not for a top 10 pick. I think they're looking more into a RHD anyways. We have plenty of young wingers that could be available though.

Good point! I like to always add about Brodie that if you are looking at his best years he was on the right side. He is a top two D man if your coach lets him play on his off side. If Calgary was looking for a winger from CHI for Brodie I would assume it's Saad. There is potential here!

That's a great deal for Chicago. They get a very good D, 2nd rounder and a great goalie prospect, PLUS massive Cap relief for a higher 1st rounder and a fourth. Very good deal for them that would have to happen on the floor.

The Hawks could get wayyyyy more for the 8th overall pick. If this was Hamilton then it might be different but not for a 3rd of 4th defensemen. Hossa isn't a huge burden at the moment for the Hawks. They'll move him to Carolina, Ottawa, or Arizona before too long. If this package was for the Nashville first rounder then I think they would consider it.

The Boston deal makes no sense, why would the Flames do that? They have excess D already and have no need for a small, offensive D, no matter that deal is way lopsided as it is. No thanks.
