The Ottawa Senators are in a dark place right now. It seems inevitable that Erik Karlsson will be traded. According to insiders, teams are gearing up to make massive offers, likely resulting in a bidding war and over payment.
Ideally, I'd like Sens to get new ownership and then sign EK and simply retool this summer.
Realistically, I think we need to bring in an elite forward, another top 4 D and then a plethora of picks and prospects and hope to be contenders in 3-4 years which should coincide with the opening of a rink at LeBreton.
This roster is decent enough to not give Colorado a top 3 pick and the future is bright with prospects (Glass, Formenton, Jaros, Gustavsson, Batherson...) developing in Belleville
