Sabres in royal blue uniforms.

Mittelstadt takes Rask’s spot and Nylander takes Pominville’s in 2019-20.

Insert Nelson in Bogosian’s spot as soon as he gets injured lol

Hope McCabe can be good, young stay at home defenseman for Dahlin.

Hope Grubauer turns into Martin Jones like starter after serving as backup behind a Vezina winner.

If you dont think any of the trades are enough could always include pick #32 in this years draft or one if the two 2nd rounders in 2019.

Think grubauer would fit really well in Buffalo and the trades make sense, save the Caps trading a young winger like bura even with his scoring issues

Caps say no pretty easily there. Assuming the SJS 1st is for Grubauer (fair value) the other 3 pieces do not add up to Burakovsky. Caps would rather futures than those pieces.

Grubauer alone is not going to fetch a 1st round pick. Tim Murray did this for Lehner who was a younger, better prospect at the time and was still ripped for it. Every team knows Caps arent going to be able to pay Grubauer if they want to keep Carlson and Wilson. 1st round pick in what is supposed to be a loaded 2019 draft plus a young, 1st round pick RFA bottom 6 forward plus a young offensive RFA Dman plus a second round pick prospect is a pretty good haul for your backup goalie who your going to lose in free agency anyhow and your 3rd line LW....
