Description
Lou might try and trade Tavares rights before July 1. Little could be re-united with Ladd and spark some chemistry there again while promoting Barzal to #1C. They also get a 1st round pick to build upon which is pretty good for trading UFA rights.

Tavares likes what he sees in WPG and signs long term. The top 6 is easily the best in the NHL while keeping a majority of the core in tact and the D-core though not as good as previous years will have a system change to play a quick transition game to let the FWDs do their job.

    I appreciate the creativity. If the Jets could land Hughes, Dobson or Bouchard to eventually replace Myers on the back end, it could be an interesting concept. 5 years out, I'd envision D pairings of Morrissey-Trouba, Niku-Dobson, Stanley-Poolman.

    The firepower of the top 6 is scary.

    Vinnylou, I'm guessing Laine comes in around $8-9M, Wheeler $7M and Connor might need a bridge deal. Likely cost one or both of Mason's final year or Perreault to fit it all in.

    I've got Laine from 7.5-9 (Chevy is a miracle worker), Wheeler too many factors but could be as low as 5.5-8 and Connor 5-6.5 are my best guesses (term for Laine and Connor of course as bridge would be cheaper).

    5 years time I'm looking for D-pairings like:
    Morrisey-Trouba
    Niku-Bouchard/Dobson/Boqvist
    Samberg-Poolman
