In 2013 Corey Schneider was traded for the 9th overall pick as a 27 year old, and somehow as a 32 year old, after two mediocre seasons he is worth almost double that value, in being traded for two first round picks?
As a gm would you want to give up one pick in the top thirteen, let alone two, for a goaltender with roughly a .908 save percentage over his previous 100 games? I really don't think I would. Maybe a second and a third...
Oilers are in need of wingers, not centers.
