That Calgary trade, while I absolutely love Andersson, is overkill. Neither of the players coming back to toronto have proven anything beyond the AHL (and in Mangiapane's case hes only had half a season's worth of good results) and you're giving up an established top 9 forward (who can play in many teams top 6) and a 1st for them? That's a hard pass.

Yah, I'd agree I just know as fans we overvalue assets of our own clubs. Leivo is a player who can't crack a lineup and Brown is a player who scored 14 goals and is payed 2.1 million. I just didn't want to be seen as not offering enough. If the leafs can make the trade without the 1st rounder that would be nice. I know the Flames need right wingers and I think Levio and Brown would thrive on their team.
