You're overvaluing your players way too much. All you're doing is sending late 1st round picks in exchange for higher picks. The Montreal trade is a prime example, why would they move down 20 or more spots and get not much else in return.

The Karlsson trade is bad too. Just because you're taking back Ryan, doesn't mean you take all of the value out of it, after all, you're making them retain 3mil. You'd have to replace the Tampa 1st with the Montreal 1st and you might have the framework for something. It should be along the lines of Karlsson for 2018 1st MTL, 2018 1st NYR, 2018 2nd NJD, Pionk, DeAngelo
