I think CAR accepts that without thinking...and philly fans cry themselves to sleep over the horrible deal

It solidifies Philadelphia’s middle-6 and top-4 at basically the cost of one player. Voracek is a huge loss, and maybe I’m underestimating his star power, but I think the return is there.

The idea of trading offense for defense is smart but instead I would take someone like Slavin or Pesce who are both younger and have more potential. Also Voracek is one of the best play makers in the league so I don’t see why your want to trade him. Instead you can move Simmonds or even Konecny ( I know he’s younger and is great but he isn’t as good as Voracek who is imo the best passer in the game and I’m a Rangers fan)

Also a Rangers fan, Voracek is too good and i don't think Williams and Lindholm make up for that. Sure they help PHI and Faulk is nice, but yall have Ghost on PP1 and Provorov on PP2 so no room for Faulk. Faulk is also a defensive liability. I think it's not enough value. I agree with rladda that Simmonds would be the better option.

If you ask me, there’s no way CAR pulls the trigger on this if Simmer is the centerpiece. They regard Lindholm and Faulk quite highly.

You’re probably right but philly can always add a round pick or a good prospect to even things out. My point is that trading Voracek would simply be the wrong decision

If we are trading Voracek I want Slavin or Pesce who are both younger and much better defensively than Faulk is.
