Thank you for asking. If you review past trades for star players, it is usually a simple formula, A first, a good young roster player and a good but unproven prospect. On the other hand, when a team is trying to do a total rebuild the assets returned are often much less (see what assets PIT got back when the team was dismantled in 2003 after getting to round 3 in 2001). Bottom line, it is a little bit light (the second should be a young roster player) in a normal trade of a star, but then it seems to be more than TML got back for Phil Kessel in 2015.
