Where do you put Victor Mete? And possibly a top-5 draft pick this upcoming draft? I would definitely let Victor Mete and Mike Reilly grow within the organization and not put a player like Nick Holden in their place.

All in the minors to start the year. Reilly could start in the NHL but needs to be insulated and paired with someone who can erase his mistakes. Ideally he'd be Weber's partner but he needs to show he can handle top minutes against top players first. Don't want to rush Mete in and ruin his confidence even though he played this season, I feel a little more development in Laval as the top guy would do him some good and when Schenn and Holden's contracts are up you should see guys like Mete be ready to step up. As for the top-5 prospect, whoever it may be (I'd go with Wahlstrom or Bouchard, depending on where they end up drafting), they'd be better served in college or in their junior team, no need to rush them either.

Mete is already better than holden

Mete is a definite starter next season. This league is all about speed and skills. Nick Holden is a 4-5 D on many teams which makes me think about the Schlemko/Alzner situation. Montreal has to turn the page and go young. Reilly, Mete, Scherbak, Hudon, Galchenyuk need to step it up. Juulsen would be 6 D next year ideally. Luke Schenn a very bad pick in my own opinion.
