NHL best salary cap team under 23 player-active roster for the 2017-2018 season with 1 rookie by position; therefore 5 in total. I'd also like to have some cap relief, I'm aiming between $500,000 - $1,000,000.+ Minnesota prospect sensation Kirill Kaprizov who's breaking records in the KHL as a teenager.

I still believe Erik Karlsson is the best Defense in the world, however his team is faltering devastly this season. Bobrovsky is also the best goalie in the world however his team haven't been able to figure it out this season; CLB is having to deal in the juggernaut metropolitan division. And no I'm not putting P.K. Subban (Yes he is good) as it's easy to look good when you have Roman Josi beside you and the best core four 'D' in the league: Ekholm and Ellis. Plus Pekka Rinne is arguably top 5 goalies in the league. One underrated goalie is Frederik Andersen, if it wasn't for his horrific 1 and a half month start he'd easily be the Vezina favourite. The only reason I didn't put John Tavares is because he's currently a negative player in the +/- category, however he is top 5 centers in the league ever since he's been active in the NHL. One other great player however he's on the weakest western team is Oliver Ekman-Larson. I know I'll have a difficult time choosing between McAvoy and Sergachev for rookie defenseman.
