    I like oueltte but I think boston passes. They want more of a vet than him. Booth has zero value. Yeah I'll take the nyquist deal and the deal for green. They can only help going forward. I'd love to get rid of another big salary if possible to get a bit of flexibility. Tatar, Neilson have some value.

    Xavier Ouellet to Montreal makes more sense, It's been rumored that Marc Bergevin has some interest in him.

    It would be hard to move Nielsen. His production has dropped and he's signed long term. Maybe a team desperate for center depth like Montreal, but I don't see them buying. Also keep in mind he plays a big role on the team. Without him we'd have no third line center and we'd have to force a young guy into that position when they're not ready.

    Edit: Also keep in mind that the cap should go up, which makes our cap situation less dire.

    I agree it would hurt us going forward but to be honest i think the next couple years are going to be bad and its bad already. They need to reset the next couple years and if that means signing vets to short term contracts to fill in some gaps then do it. Guys who are not going to be solutions id rather see moved for futire assets.
