I'm no Kruger fan, but at $2m for 2 years, rather than Martin for $2.5 for 3 years, and get a pick; I don't think its terrible. and worst case they put him on waivers/minors next year and he costs them $1m on the cap

Kruger trade might be ok, but certainly don't smith. smith doesn't have a place in the leaf lineup even at two million. would rather have polak the rest fo the season
