I personally hate alzner. If we can get rid of imhis contract for 2 years of Orpik. Idc. Patches Byron and backstrome is a swap for me and Shaw for bura is a swap as well. That’s how I evealute the trade.

Terrible terrible trade for the Caps. Trading a top 10 center, a young top 6 winger for a top 6 winger, 2 bottom 6 forwards, and a terrible defensemen on a long term deal. Terrible.

"Old 1C" hahaha..Backstrom is one of the best centers in the league. He's a dominant 1C on every team in this league, except for a couple guys...maybe. He's durable, reliable, an amazing passer, a PP stud, been top 10 in the league in production almost 10 years running, and he's done it quietly and consistently.

You're obviously not familiar with Backie if you think he's just an old center.
