I can see him getting slightly more but he is an RFA so even if it goes to arbitration I can't see them going much higher considering the down year and anticipating him taking the next step. He can leverage the ability to play center and wing

Possibly...he has a bad rep around the league, he plays a big game...I was thinking a potential higher almost bridge type deal since he is only 26..could cash in after with a few solid years in the spotlight of nyc

Down year? He is on pace for 3 less goals. He has 2 full 82 game seasons at 40+ points.

He's easily a 50 point player and can push for 60-70 if given 1st line minutes for the whole season. The most I would give him personally is 5.5 million.
