Description

If the Price/STL Rumor is true this is the type of package I’d want for Price. To me all these deals make sense for the Habs, stock up on as many draft picks as you can, and free up cap space and build the blue line around Dunn/Mete/Weber. I think Weber is obviously going to slow down but I can’t see the Habs trading Price and Weber, and I think it would be good to have Weber to mentor the young defensemen. This also allows Sherbak and Juulsen to play the rest of the season with the team. Going into the offseason the Habs would have 20+ million in cap space to go after some big name players, or they could package up some draft picks and player to get a #1 C.

I think that the value for all of those trades is mostly fair.

This is what St. Louis needs to do to get over the hump. Perennial cup contenders only to disappoint. That Price contract is tough one to swallow though... St. Louis is probably hoping that Allen can be more consistent or that Hutton might be for real.

Plekenac for a 2nd might be a slight reach but I think you've valued everyone appropriately.
