I'll pass on OEL for that price. I'd give up ROR and Beaulieu for him but not Reinhart, Nylander and a first

I'd rather wait and see if OEL makes it to UFA before I trade young assets for a year of him

Yeah I get that... but I wouldn't give up SR and AN just to have exclusive rights for a year. Better served just waiting out the year and try to sign him on July 1 2019. If not him, then Ryan ellis, McDonagh, etc.

Besides the fact that you cannot trade a player on IR, no chance in a 4/5 LD (whom MTL has a slew of) and a 26 year old winger who has still not been able to solidify a full time gig on bottom dwelling teams, will get Shaw (let alone Shaw and a 3rd).

Also, all the hype around Kane is just that. Teams just don't give away their Top Prospect + 1st Rounder + Top 9 Roster Player + something else for a rental. If buffalo was in a playoff position today, could you honestly see your team coughing up (Middlestadt + 2018 1st + Girgensons + 2019 3rd) for James Neal?

1.) this is 2018-2019 season. Josefson is out week to week not year to year
2.) your overvaluation of shaw and undervaluation of scandella is noted
3.) comparing middlestadt to sprong is hilarious
4.) hagelin is a cap dump

    thanks for stopping by

Zach Sanford, Brad Malone, conditional draft pick, round 1 pick in the 2017 draft (Morgan Frost) and round 2 pick in the 2019 draft for Kevin Shattenkirk. Not a top prospect but a 1st, 2nd, player, prospect and a conditional pick for what Washington had to know was going to be a rental.
