Dangle's isn't a world of reality. . . . . Petrovic is a solid upgrade over existing 3rd pairing. . . . .but doubt Carrick and a 2nd is realistic! Also similar type of defenceman to Igor Ozhiganov who the Leafs apparently have the inside track on for next year!

Ozhiagnov has had a terrible year but if he regains his previous form I could see him being a solid bottom pair guy. What would you be willing to give up for petrovic?

It's not that I would add anything else to bring in the minor upgrade that Petrovic represents. I think the Leafs have to think in terms of an upgrade to their top 4 even if that means moving a current top 4 Dman in a larger package! I think that represents far more significance. If Florida would accept the above that's gravy but I would'nt add.
