I watched last night's game and was totally shocked to see Riley Sheahan score. He shoots about one time in 40 games. Has a great shot, but is allergic to the net. I agree with all the comments above. I am a fan of keeping Kessel on Malkin's line and think Pearson has worked real well on the left side. I have ideas on trades to provide better balance for the offence, defense and salary cap. I will post later this week. (teaser).
I think we need to play ZAR and Sprong on top lines to see what they can do. How about trying Sprong with Malkin and Pearson. Malkin and Pearson both are good at working low to get the puck to Sprong as the sniper. Tanner Pearson can be the defensive conscience of the line.
I am not sold on Derrick Brassard, but we need to give him some time when healthy. My conclusion is to put Sprong on Malkins' line. Have Kessel temporarily move to Brassard's line and Rust on with Sheahan.
