Not sure why the rangers add a LHD and middle 6 Cs. These are the last things they need, although I do like Necas, but Canes aren’t trading away young Cs.

Not quite! The value is there, yet both teams decline. Kind of a sideways deal.

Agree about sideways to a degree, but this deal obtains players closer in age to the Rangers core for their window a opportunity a couple years down the line, and helps the canes offense right now.

Rask evens off the money. Necas plays with Chytil on the Czech national team.

Canes are improving their top 6 right now with players that have playoff experience, in their prime. They have to give up something to get, right?
