Why do we add leivo to the trade, or even trade gardiner at this point, he’s looked fine this season.

Cause Myers isn't going to cost as much as Gardiner and I could see the Leafs extending him where I can't see Leafs extending Gards... unfortunately... They both have looked amazing but let's be real, Leivo is at most a depth guy on this team. As much as I'd love to see him higher Babs doesn't trust him. Maybe that could change and I'd be VERY into that but as of now just depth. This was also a roster spot trade too. It gives the Leafs some extra flexibility if needed. I also think Myers brings some grit that the Leafs need and moving Gards makes room for Dermott to move to a top 4 role. Maybe some more PP/PK time too.

Probably not ideal option but still an option I can see happen.

I was thinking that this trade was realistic before the season began (just Myers fit Garda 1 for 1) but Myers has not looked good, I’ve only seen about 7 or 8 games but Garda from what I’ve seen has looked way better. Just my opinion. One thing that is for sure, neither will be signed by the leafs next year.

Leivo has looked pretty good this year and Babs has been rewarding him with ice time and PP. I think he is the depth guy you hold on to. He’s fought his way up and never asked for a trade. Think he’s the type to take a deal to stay financially viable.

Leivo asked for a trade last year but resinded it. There's honestly been a lot of mismanagement with players weither it be by Dubas/Lou or Babcock. Between Corrado, Holland, Leivo, Nylander and now Marincin and Holl is just kinda in merry land. Up with the big club just never playing.

No he did not, it was a rumour made up by kypreos which was shot down by Lou. Kypreos is a dirt bag who makes up rumours and reports them as insider knowledge. He does this on a daily basis. If you look into it you will see that there is one source... Kypreos.

Here is an article where both Lou, leivo and leivo’s Agent shoot down ktoreos’s bull****.
