Description
Ottawa is in quite the pickle with the Karlsson situation as well as having to choose whether to give Colorado this year's 1st or next. Giving away #4 overall would be tough to swallow but rolling the dice may end up being worse for the Sens. In trading EK, which seems likely, they could easily find themselves in contention for #1 overall pick (Jack Hughes) next year. The possibility of giving that pick to Colorado should be enough to convince OTT to give Colorado this year's #4 and go full tank....
This is how Isles land EK. The idea is fresh so tweaks may be needed. Input appreciated, especially VAN/OTT fans!

Not enough for Karlsson.

On the Canucks trade, I really like the idea. Except, we don't need a forward like Brock Nelson. I'd rather see something like

7th
Tanev for

11th, 12th, Ladd, Beauvillier

That way Canucks get future and bad contracts while you guys can have the players you want, while more Cap space to sign people like Karlsson.

i dont like that either, cause ive heard the draft drops of after the top 8 or top 10. and moving down isnt worth those pieces, i want vancouver to get a stud and i think they get that in Dobson or Tkachuk (assuming they fall down to 7th)

also they can get something else for tanev, like a late 1st from toronto or something

at 11 and 12 there are so many people. assuming the top 4 is the one everyone expects, the 11 and 2 can be anyone from

hughes
bouchard
dobson
boqvist
wahlstrom
kotkaniemi
veleno
lundestrom
farabee

all these guys are top 6/ top 4 defensemen worthy

not to mention beauvillier can get a 50 point season next year, but maybe thats pushing it.
