1) Don't need Hickey. Stars don't need a starting defenseman. The only defensemen they may be looking for are veteran, 7th defensemen that come cheap and on a 1-year deal. No need to pay for a guy like Hickey.

2) You are missing Johns, Dickinson, and Smith. Re-sign all of them. They will all be a part of the Stars organization next season.

3) I love how you just randomly signed one of Detroit's RFA's. That is not how the NHL free agency system works. Dallas can't just sign Larkin. They have to trade for his rights first.

4) Why sign Roussel? Why sign Roussel for 4 years? Dude has been nothing but a guaranteed 2+ PIM's per night. The Stars have the physical play he brings in guys like Elie, Smith, and Pitlick. Roussel is a fan favorite, but his time in Dallas is over.

5) No chance Dallas signs Nichushkin for 4 years at $5.5M AAV. I like Nuke more than most. I still think he has a ton of potential, but he's getting a 2-year bridge deal MAXING OUT at $2.25M per season. Realistically, he'll see $1.5M-1.75M AAV on his contract.

This is most definitely not the Stars 2018 offseason....
