In this scenerio the Devils give up on Schneider because of his inconsistency this season and Kinkaid's emergence. New scenery should be good for Schneider and hopefully help him have a bounce back season.
Keeping John Tavares is essential so max contract is a given imo
Adding OEL provides depth on back end and multiple offensive threats in OEL and Leddy. NYI need true #1 and limiting Leddy's minutes could help him play better.
While cap situation looks bad, if Eberle and Lee walk to FA it would add room to resign other players. Eberle's skill is hard to replace but Anderson's grit and hard play would be a better compliment to Barzal, Ladd. Lee is great sidekick to JT and Bailey but Bellows would fit in nicely with them and would bring deadly shot and young energy to line.
