Description
The plan:

- Convince either Thornton or Hamhuis to come to Ottawa on 1 or 2 year deals. OTT has the room to overpay them, if salary is an issue. Let them lead the kids at forward and defense.

- Let the kids who are ready play

- I've put all the fringe NHL'ers just outside of a spot. Whoever wants a spot must earn it at camp. With this god awful team, they definitely have the opportunity to steal a spot from McCormick, Paajarvi, Paul, Burrows, Pyatt. If need be, move Dzingel to RW to make space for these young centers.

- Sign a career AHLer to help the farm team which is absolutely DISGUSTING.

        That could be intriguing! But their wings, especially left wing, would still be very lacking. With one good trade though, they may just get right back into the action!
        I wouldn't get my hopes up. There's 86.5% they don't draft Dahlin.

        Bro. What were our odds to get mcdavid??.. You've got the 2Nd best odds!!..I never even thought we'd win. I was hoping to pick hanifan. Even if you decided to move karlsson after the draft. You could fill any hole you have left open by moving one of the best pieces in the game.

        I know what you mean man. But I study statistics, so I just can't see it that way. If it happens, great! It's all gravy. But otherwise, it's best to plan the most likely outcome.

        (Also not an Ottawa fan, just did this for fun, but hey I'm always rooting for Canadian teams not named Toronto!)
