The Pens don't need to blow a bunch of assets on Evander Kane or Max Pacioretty. There's already enough offense in this group. I've noticed most Pens fans want to run Hagelin out of town to bring in Kane. In their last 9 games, Hagelin has 8 points and Kane has 1. Small sample size, but Hagelin is working exceptionally with Malkin. They need a solid 3C who can handle some tough minutes and chip in offensively.
Obviously, the Coyle trade is the big one. The rest are just for extra depth. Also, they still have Dea, Rowney, Sprong and Reaves in the minors if needed.
Pittsburgh gets the 3C they've been looking for, while Minnesota gets a scoring winger and a 1st rounder to restock the cupboards in a season they probably won't make the playoffs.
