I'd be open to moving Kane as I think his 5.125mil would be nice to allocate elsewhere, but I don't think EDM management would. For me, something in the range of a 2nd would get it done.

Kane isn't my first option but he has strong analytics, can score, is affordable, physical, and wouldn't be too hard to acquire. Islanders cant be picky rn. We arent landing a free agent and Lou isn't going after an RFA so taking in two guys with high upside may be the only way to contend

I want to blow the roster up but that's not happening so this is a realistic outlook

Why deal JGP for a guy making the same amount of money? The whole point of moving him would be to free up cap space, not acquire a guy with the same cap hit and more term coming off of a bad season.
