i dont know how anyone can justify handing out 1 contract thats gonna eat 7 mil in cap to fix this team, let alone 2. lindholm is coming off a 44 point season in 75 games. thats not production of a 7 million dollar player. career high of 42 goals which was 2 years ago when he was playing with tkachuck and gaudreau. hes not gonna score more than 25 with bunting and rust. like i get it, at some point geno needs to go the wing, i just dont see lindholm being the guy. seems like a big risk. marchessault isnt gonna score 40 forever, and hes 34. the bottom 6 still needs a lot of help, even with teddy coming back, and the back end needs a left defenseman. cant bring back graves. cant pay him 4.5 just to play 3rd pair.

gotta take the cap and look at bringing in multiple middle 6/ bottom 6 contributors rather than making the team more top heavy.
