Description

Assumes that Landy stays on LTIR through the end of year and that Chooch will come back and play for the avs for a bit. I just don't see them getting out of his contract. Give drouin term to keep AAV down and then bring up guys who are waivers exempt that can go down to make cap space if val is ready.

Ideally cal ritchie develops in the AHL this year and Trenin can get bumped down to 4C with Ritchie at 3C.

Hope same thing for Behrens but as a 7D option over Jones.

Would rather a bigger shutdown guy than Gustaffson only because he's more offensive and I feel we have enough of that in our D core and could use another big body. Also if you have Nuke during the season you're over the cap and you're just weakening your depth if you bring up waiver exempt guys who would still put you over the cap. I also think Landy is gonna be back before playoffs but that's a whole other issue. I agree with everything you said though. Go Avs!

Edit: I wouldnt plan for a Landy return yet. Best to let him "earn steps in his progresssion". I would be cool with this roster, dont know enough about Gustaffson

Also in answer to the OP. Ritchie would have to be loaned back to Oshawa, even if signed, if not playing for the Avs as he's ineligible for the AHL.
