Cuylle isn’t exempt? And why would NYR protect chytil over cuylle

Easily protecting KAM over Lindgren and that Trouba NMC would be the reason they lose Schneider

Cuylle is confusing because he played in the AHL in 20-21 so I assume that counts as a pro year, but then he went back to O in 21-22. 22-23 was 2nd pro year and this year is his 3rd, so he is not exempt in my mind.

I know Chytil has been injured, but he will play a crucial role and I feel like he is more important than Cuylle.
I think Lindgren gets taken over Schneider if left unprotected in this case tbh.

I think if there was an expansion draft, the Rangers trade a defenseman. Also I'm totally biased because I think Miller is horrible and Lindgren is one of the most important players on the team but I'd be crushed if they lost Lindgren because they protected Miller instead. That being said I think I'd value both of them over Kakko.

If you value both over Kakko, you would also have to unprotect 2 extra forwards.. would you still be willing?

Yeah, probably don't protect Chytil. Teams have shown resistance to select players with questionable futures due to injuries in the past.
