Tampa wouldn't be able to do this because they would still have to sign Stamkos 2 forwards and 1 defense. They also don't have a 1st until 2026 and a 2nd until 2025. They would have to give up alot to make this work and Stamkos or Hanifin would need to take a major discount to play in Tampa.

Yeah the 2026 first would be fine in Calgarys eyes because its the Mckenna draft. As for Tampa being the destination, they’d for sure have to figure out things to fit Hanifin in to the cap next year but I’m just going off Tampas reported interest and Hanifin allegedly making it his top choice
