Pens deadline sell off

Dallas doesn't need Guentzel and they won't be able to extend him to the contract he's going to want this offseason. Regardless of trade value, Dallas isn't the team to make this trade. They are currently the highest scoring team in the league, have the most 30+ point players in the league, and are tight against the cap both this season and next season.

Dallas needs to address the blue line, not the forwards, and they are going to need guys like Bourque and Stankoven to produce offense while also coming in under $2M combined against the cap. Guentzel is a solid player, and this is a fair deal. But Dallas isn't the team that's going to make a trade like this.

I don't want to move Pettersson this year unless it's an overpay but just curious what would a deal for Pettersson look like from Dallas to address your blue line?

IF Ottawa sells Chychrun I feel like it would be in the offseason, not at the trade deadline.
