Ideal rest of season

I agree with you regarding Nelson, Parms, Lee, Engvall, Mayfield and Pelech. But these guys more realistic will (if we can with some of them) be traded in the offseason.

Clutter and Martin won't be traded at the deadline. Lou is too loyal, he is going to let these 2 play the remaining season and retire as an Isle.

I think if they want out and to go on a cup run he will but if they dont want to i agree. Either way Clutter has been really solid this year and is a great person so if we kept him then brought him in as a coach/player developmental role id be ecstatic

Im just so upset. I think Mayfield should be buried in the AHL for as long as possible then buy him out. 12 years of deadcap would be horrific even tho its only like $1,166,667 per year. If we can wait 2-3 years ill be fine then

Yea as much as everybody hates Mayfield he’s not going anywhere for the next 2-3 years at least with the NTC and his term. Once the cap goes up considerably, if he still hasn’t improved, 1.6 mil for 4-6 years isn’t ideal but there have been worse buyouts.

to be fair burying him is only like 600k more expensive than a buyout so im fine w that.
