Tampa is hardly a shoe in for the final wild card spot this year. And no Detroit isn't retaining on Sprong. Should Yzerman decide to deal we'd be retaining on more expensive contracts like Gostisbehere and Perron.

This team needs to get their house in order. They need to move Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev, maybe Stamkos (hopefully not) and hope they get back some solid players or play the kids, if they make the playoffs...great. Brisebois made a mess of the roster and flexibility.
