While I would love Matthew Tkachuk on the Toronto Maple Leafs, I don't think the Leafs should go out and attempt to acquire him.

The idea of paying FOUR separate forwards $10M plus annually is pure chaos and will have severe consequences for the rest of the roster.

If the Maple Leafs do insist on inquiring about him, this is the best package I would be willing to live with. Although the value does favour the Maple Leafs, the lack of leverage the Flames may hold in any Tkachuk trade cannot be underestimated. As we've just seen a couple of weeks ago, a 24-year-old, 40-goal scorer didn't fetch the return we all thought he would. There may also only be a few teams with which Matthew wants to sign long-term as well as the fact that Tkachuk could simply not sign to stay in Calgary if they don't ship him out.

Finally before blasting me in the comments:
-I do NOT believe Tkachuk ends up in Toronto
-I believe Matthew Tkachuk will be traded below market value
