I am slowly coming to terms with Leddy. If he is the elite puck mover some claim him to be, ehh it might not be such a bad move. It's just a big question mark at a spot where there was already a question mark. I will have to bite my tongue and assume those much smarter than me know what they are doing.

What I can't understand though is why another move wasn't made. We have already been struggling to form some continuity on the 4th line and while sunny was a shell of himself this year, he still gave you piece of that identity the 4th line needed. I thought the moves by our western conference foes to acquire jarnkrok and deslauriers and even cogliano were really smart lost cost additions that solidified their bottom 6.

It just seems like we now have more holes/weaknesses than before the deadline and one less 2nd round pick. I have to wonder if the up and down last 3/4 weeks zapped any remaining confidence in our front office to go for it and overpay to acquire lindholm/chyckrun and truly be a cup contender. It now looks like the front office is just trying to free up space for summer additions and make the run next year.

A sad conclusion indeed.

The 4th line I have below is one that won't get bullied by MIN/CGY/COL, at least I don't think they would.
