I like where your headed with this trade but I don't think Ottawa trades Anderson, unless we really entice them. I think it would also be better for us if we throw in Voracek for Ryan, and keep he other terms of the trade the same. I doubt that Vegas would take Read too much salary cap, I think they will take Cousins, Laughton, or maybe Raffl. Also just noticed this but the PK unit 2 has two rookie D men, I doubt we would do that unless both are very very impressive, and not when we have three rookies in there.

Agree, don't see Read being an option. Maybe if they stopped watching him after game #20 then yeah lol.

The thinking with them adding Read is they'll need to add money to reach the cap floor while not being tied down on a multi-year deal. Plus, despite his lack of scoring over the whole year, he was still a relatively useful player in terms of play driving and killing penalties. I should have specified that Raffl is getting protected and Weal gets a, we'll sign this after the expansion draft deal, deal. I could see them taking Laughton, but I think that would be bad on our part to expose him, IMO.

Also, at this point, i'll take Voracek over Ryan just based on production in recent years. I'll agree that the contract isn't that great, but I think Jake will produce closer to his deal than Ryan will.
