Description
So I was watching Flyers Forward and listening to BSH radio last night. Both had good ideas, at least I thought so. Some were a little crazier than others, but some I wouldn't be really mad about.

Trading for a veteran goalie on a 1-yr deal seems like it'll be the route they take unless they convince Mason to come back (i doubt it, but you never know). Trade also happens post expansion draft.

Give Stolarz and Lyon matching deals so one doesn't feel slighted over the other.

If you don't like the defense pairs, that's fine. IMO, these are the 7 defensemen who will be here barring any more Hextall magic. The defense pairs can be rotated around however you see fit.

Also, before people get one me about the Ghost contract, I would love nothing more than to sign him long term to Klingberg type money. However, IMO, i don't see why Ghost would want to sign a long term deal right now based on how the season played out. I wouldn't be surprised if he took a bridge deal with an inflated salary in the last year for arbitration purposes. For him to maximize his value, he needs to take a shorter deal and bet on himself like Subban did with Montreal a few years ago. Feel free to disagree if you wish.

    yeah he could bet on himself, but guys take those huge money deals with term while they are young because of the security. If he injures his hip again or tears his ACL again then the Flyers could low ball him just like every other team in the NHL could as a UFA in two/three years. If he takes a Klingberg type deal he has the $ security for 5/6 years and is still able to hit UFA as a 29/30 year-old for one more decent sized contract at maximum value for a player like him ($6M). Flyers could sign him to a bridge deal, but if that's how he goes in negotiations then I imagine he becomes instant trade bait if any of the prospects pan out. The Flyers aren't going to pay him $5M+ to be the #4/5 defender on the team so it's a risk for him still.
