Damn, they’re good. I was already in the area on holiday so it just made sense to go to the game the night before the flight out. It may have been up in the nosebleeds, but the view is great for watching the play develop and the fans up there are die-hards. Probably the best place to get season tickets lol.
My family was actually planning on doing this trip 2 years ago (TBL at DET and then CBJ at TBL) but Covid messed up our plans right before they were supposed to happen. Would’ve been awesome to see that 2020 Stanley Cup team back when they were all together, but I guess it’s alright. I’ve always been a quiet supporter of the Lightning, but I think going to last night’s game cements them in my top 3 favorites.
Fun Fact: That’s the first time I’ve been to an NHL game (not counting preseason) where the home team won. I’ve been to a few Wings games but haven’t seen them win yet in the regular season, so it feels good to see the team I’m cheering for win 4-1 instead of losing 1-7.
I haven’t been active for a little while, but now that I’m home and hockey is starting back up I’ll be getting right back into it. Again, tremendous play last night by the Lightning, the only thing that could make it a little better as a viewer would be a closer game, the Bolts happened to run away with it pretty quickly by the 2nd period TV timeouts.
