Kucherov's Time

Are you on crack? I get kucherov probably will be better than stamkos in the next few years, but that is not nearly enough for Stamkos.

If i was the lightning GM, i'd consider it, but i think i'd ask for more.

You're not wrong but it's hard to compete with sakic who is trying to trade a player who has less term over a shorter time that doesn't have the injury history of stamkos. I'd say I made a mistake not making that pick a first for sure but I don't know really what else Carolina had to offer that they are willing to pay with.

Stamkos can get the whole entire Hurricanes team on his own.

Yzerman would only trade Stamkos if it made Carolina look absolutely stupid. Also, trading for Justin Faulk doesn't make sense since Dotchin and Koekkoek will need spots and will be given spots to boost their development. Signing Justin Williams makes no sense since we have many young forwards that can be given a roster spot like Raddysh, Stephens, Peca, Howden, etc.
