Similar team to end of 2020-2021 season but added some vet presence + some new blood. If team can gel quickly and carry over momentum from EOY last season it could be an interesting year for the Sens
Overview:
(Forwards)
- L. Brown is given an opportunity with a make-it or break-it contract
- J. Norris continues to impress
- Stutzle continues end of year (rookie season) success as more used to the NHL game and stronger / Stutzle-Pinto-C.Brown line had great chem last season
- Batherson, another offseason training with Crosby, Marchand, Mackinnon
- Pinto given an opportunity @ 2C but many can temporarily fill that role
- T. Ennis adds a versatile F. option with offensive instincts + good speed
- Formenton can move up and down (mostly bottom 6 + PK) if he makes the team
- Tierney will play some games but team looks for trade
(Defence)
- Top pairing of Chabot-Zub as Dorion hinted at
- D core stabilizes with vet additions ie. Del Zotto
- Holden/J. Brown (extra?)
- Mete-Brannstrom pairing, Brannstrom perferes RD vs LD
- JBD will get some NHL games in but doesnt make team from camp
(Goalies)
- M. Murray's given a shorter leash but begins as starter
- Gus / Forsberg battle for backup (both will play NHL games imo, hopefully Gus proves himself)
