I have seen a ton of Blues fans making Tarasenko and 2nd Pair DFD trades i myself have done these but i dont think we need to make any trades heres why
Tarasenko: Looking away from AGM teams in the real world there is no way Armstrong trades Tarasenko. We know he can be really good but teams will continue to low ball Army thought they are paying for his next 2 years not his last so i dont see a reason to trade him
2nd Pair DFD: There have been many rumors on CapFriendlys with trades for players like Soucy and Mayfield. thought i really like these players on our team it just doesnt make sense. Soucy has had good numbers and is a good players expecially with how much he is getting paid. Thought his pay check isnt a ton 2,750,000 is a lot for us how to we get the cap for him and sign Thomas? I dont see a reality we trade for Soucy for that reason not to mention Soucy has only played 3rd pair minutes. Our other option for a 2nd pair dfd is Mayfield. Mayfield is one of the best value players for his price the problem is he is on the islanders which obviously a contender and they cant afford to lose him and we have nothing to give up not Tarasenko even if we wanted to we would need to retain reality of a flat-cap. With this being said i dont see any defensive defenders that play 2nd pair minutes, have a decent cap hit not to much, and are on teams that arent contenders and we can pay in picks. I am very interested if there are any options if you guys know any be sure to comment them below if they meet the requirements that the blues need
