Just because he’s the official selection doesn’t mean there isn’t a side deal in place. I would be surprised if Fletcher doesn’t make/have a deal to acquire Carson Soucy.

Their d core looks good but offensively it looks pretty bleak. Am I disappointed that they didn't take Jake or JVR? yeah but I'm more surprised they didn't pick up a depth piece that has played more time in the NHL if I was Seattle and I was going that route the choice would have been Bunnaman. Play C and Wing and has looked like an effective 4th liner where Twarynski just seems like a guy out there good in camp but not in an actual game

I can. It doesn’t look like Seattle has gone for anything more than bottom six forwards so far. I could see a JVR (with a little retained salary) and a 2nd for Soucy.
Twarynski being the selection alone makes no sense. Why not take Rubtsov? At least there’s a glimmer of upside there.
